We love our apps. These handy devices that tell us where the nearest fair trade coffee can be purchased, what businesses are nearby, and who’s talking to us on Facebook and Twitter at any given moment. Apps on our smart phones are great ways to manage our daily lives so we can focus on handling our many responsibilities.
Our favorite apps are those that help us be more environmentally conscious. We’ve highlighted 10 of our favorite green apps here.

By Environmental Working Group
The health benefits of a diet rich in fruits and vegetables outweigh the risks of pesticide exposure. Use EWG’s Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides™ to reduce your exposures as much as possible, but eating conventionally-grown produce is far better than not eating fruits and vegetables at all. The EWG guide will help you determine which fruits and vegetables have the most pesticide residues and are the most important to buy organic. You can lower your pesticide intake by avoiding the 12 most contaminated fruits and vegetables and choosing the least contaminated produce.
